Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on August 24, 2018.
Predeceased by mother Mary Bridget Clarke, father John J. Mitchell, sons Patrick John McCarthy and Michael Joseph McCarthy.
Leaving to mourn her loving husband of 62 years Maurice McCarthy, daughters Mary Byrde (Ray), Jenny Fizzard (Charles), Frances Hynes (Michael), Madonna McCarthy (Kevin), Catherine Hodder (Edward), Joan Russell, (Andrew), sons Maurice McCarthy, Albert McCarthy, Kevin McCarthy, Jimmy McCarthy, Pierce McCarthy (Verna), sister Nora Mitchell, sister in law Mary Jane Lavhey, a large circle of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.
Resting at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Terrenceville, on Monday, August 27 from 2 – 9 p.m. and Tuesday, August 28 from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will take place from St. Joseph’s on Wednesday, August 29 at 2 p.m.

My condolences to All , Adel will be missed by so many! I have memories of my visits home and enjoyed her and Maurice hospitality so much. Visiting them was always the highlight of my trips home. Adel smiles and laughter will always be special to me and now the Angels will be blessed with her presence. I will never forget the terrenceville come home year and getting up on stage with her and doing a square dance ????. We laughed so hard and I could not keep up with her! I love you and will miss you, Rest In Peace ❤️
