Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Dr. Fred Buffett at Carbonear Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 28 years, Christine Seeley, his daughter Mona Lisa Gittens, sons Fred (Janet) and Bob (Jennifer), grandchildren Adam, Meghan, Halle, and Sydney, brother Cyril Buffett, step mother Greta Buffett and her daughters Annie and Patsy, brothers in law William Seeley (Vi) and Llewellyn Simmonds, special niece Heather Seeley, special canine companion Buddy, and also a large circle of relatives and friends.
Predeceased by parents Evangeline and Henry Buffett, first wife Ada (Taite) Buffett, sister Mercedes Simmonds, sisters in law Violet Buffett and Marjorie Seeley.
Visitation will take place at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Sunday, July 9 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Monday, July 10 at 11 a.m. with interment to follow in the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Dr. Fred Buffett Scholarship Fund.

I didn’t get to see him too often. But I was lucky enough to have met him several times over the years. Always a gentlemen. My thoughts are with my extended family, and my Great Uncle Cyril.
