Obituary

Passed suddenly, but peacefully away, on Saturday March 3rd 2018, Oscar Forward, aged 83 years. Leaving with warm and loving memories Jeannie Buckley; son Wayne (Janet); granddaughters Ashlee (Steven) and Gillian (Jamie); daughter Debbie; grandchildren Melissa, Marsha, Marshall Jr (Jenessa), Sheldon and 8 great-grandchildren.
Also leaving to mourn his siblings, Doreen Hobbs, Ruth Whelan, Sandy, Kevin (Josephine), Mary Holloway, Robert (Marge), Diane Seguin, Sharon Quinlan (Jerome), David (Maureen), and Selby (Jean); Sister-in-law Jean.
Also leaving to mourn many nieces, nephews and friends; Elizabeth (Betty) Forward (Norm Mercer), Esther Buckley and the Buckley family. Predeceased by his parents Sandy and Clara; brother Gordon and brothers-in-law Jim Whelan, Hubert Hobbs, and Dave Holloway; and sister-in-law Vera.
Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Monday March 5th from 7-9pm, Tuesday March 6th from 10 – 9 pm and Wednesday March 7th from 9-11 am, followed by funeral at 11 am from The Carnell Memorial Chapel with Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donation in Oscar’s memory may be made to The SPCA or a charity of one’s choice.

Jeannie and the Whelan/Forward family, sorry to hear of Oscar’s passing. I worked with Oscar back in the 1970’s. He was a thoughtful and gracious man, and always in a good mood. No matter what type of day it was, he always greeted everyone with a smile. Please accept my sincere condolences.

Truly sorry to learn of Oscar’s passing. Oscar and I(Jim)worked together at Revenue Canada for over twenty years and quite often met at parish dinners since his retirement. A very fine gentleman.

Very sorry to hear this. I rented an apartment from Mr. Forward for over 5 years during University and he was a fine gentlemen. My condolences to the family.

So sorry to hear of Oscar’s passing. He was an old friend. We worked together for over 30 and Revenue Canada and since that time met on numerous occasions at various functions and dinners. He shall be missed by many.. Our deepest condolences at this sad time.
