Sheila McCarthy

July 21, 1964 to May 30, 2021

Passed away surrounded by her family at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on May 30, 2021 at the age of 56.  Predeceased by her parents Gerald and Mary (Moore) McCarthy.  Left with a lifetime of loving memories her husband Rick Morgan, daughter Samantha (Jordan), son Nicholas (Jessica), beloved grandchildren Joshua, Alexander, and Travis; siblings Ignatius, Ann (Chris), and Maureen (John); and a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the Emergency Department nursing staff for their excellent care of Sheila and compassion toward the family.  Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of her life will take place once COVID restrictions have been eased.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Sheila’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

I was so sorry to hear of Sheila’s passing. My heart goes out to all her family and know you are in my thoughts and prayers. We had such fun times while working together at the Hotel NL many a year ago. Rest in peace Sheila.

To Rick, Nicholas, and Samantha…words cannot describe the shock and sadness we have to hear of Sheila’s passing. She was such a character and we all have the fondest memories of her. She was a wonderful mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend, and coworker. She always had the back of those she held dear and she will be truly missed. Mom and Dad asked me to write on their behalf that they are a phone call away if you need anything at all and I know they are deeply saddened to hear of the loss of such a lifelong friend. From the Hall family to you, we wish you all the strength and faith in these trying times.
