Dear Marg and Edward, we were extremely shocked to hear about your loss. Chris was one of those persons I met about 28 years ago. We matched right from the beginning: Me, who did not understand his way of talking but his very kind, loving and caring way of meeting people, even meeting them for the first time. After I had gone back to Germany, we hardly had any contact, but when I came back about 20 years later to introduce my husband and my son:: there he was, joking- laughing- caring and waiting at the airport for us until past midnight.
We admired him for loving life even suffering from severe pain, never complaining – instead having a good and entertaining word for all situations and just being a friend for us,. We hoped so much to see him soon, going with him for a coffee or exploring the Rock, watching the birds or just having a nice chat with him in your backyard. We will miss his asking about what we would like to have for breakfast and his pleasure watching us eating all he made for us. Our thoughts about our beloved Rock will forever be connected with our memories of Chris. We often will speak about him, his jokes and his joyful and positive personality. Gone are only those who are forgotten.
Marg and Edward, we are so sorry, we could not be with you- but in our thoughts we hug you and Edward sincerely..
RIP Chris – we will miss you.
Max, Tom and Solly from Germany

Marg and family, I was so shocked just learn of Chris’s passing. He has been in my thoughts so many times in the last couple months. I’ve missed him at The Summit. We met him initially at CBS pool. He always had a great story and you couldn’t miss his hearty laugh. I’m so sorry I wasn’t there at the funeral home or the service. He was such a caring man and family was absolutely the Center of his life based on his conversations with us.It was always a pleasure to bump into him when he was running errands at Walmart or on the shore somewhere! My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
With deepest sympathy,
Tracy Walzthoni

Marg and family so sorry to hear of Chris’s passing. When Horace called me and said…..I have bad news….he told me and I thought not Chris, one of my close first cousins. I have been away for a long time however when I would be home and walking in or out Spruce Hill road Chris would be the first person to yell … Hi Doug and meet to chat.
These times when a close person goes too young you have a flurry of memories go through your mind….hanging out at Uncle Harold’s and Aunt Lilian’s house, camping out in our back yards, ice fishing and summer fishing at Round Pond. I have great memories of Chris that I will never forget, … those early years when we all grew up together and had many fun and memorable times together. He was one of the most generous and happy persons you could meet. RIP cousin.
