Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Clara Hynes announce her peaceful passing at the tender age of 61.

Predeceased by her mother, Mabel Newcombe, and father, Alexander Newcombe.

She leaves behind her adoring husband, Tex Hynes, and cherished daughter, Sonya (Chad Gaslard). Clara was a devoted nan to three grandchildren, Kobe (Nikita Mugford), Peyton, and Reese. She also leaves behind many dear siblings, relatives, and friends.

Clara loved life and lived it to the fullest. She always enjoyed weekends with her friends, dart nights with her buddies, berry picking and ice fishing even after dark. Above all she loved her family fiercely and showed it everyday.

Special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and all teams at the Health Science Centre in St. John’s, St. Anthony, and Flowers Cove – your efforts will never be forgotten.

Mass will be held at St. Anne’s Chapel, Castor River North, on Saturday, August 20th, at 7:00PM. Flowers are gratefully accepted and all are welcome to attend.

So sorry to hear about your loss. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

Crazy how life is your here one minute and poof your gone. I always thought about you, but now that your gone am thinking about our memories together. Soon as you came to Port Au Choix to babysit for Mike and Susan Kelly. You were walking in Town and I was walking down over the hill , I said wow that’s a strange girl and she has beautiful hair I always Loved your long hair. We started talking and started hanging out, so many giggles from both of us. I remember we went to the teenage dance at the women’s institute, I guess you spotted me missing when you were dancing. You came outside and found me in pain it was the worst cramps ever. You said to me squat down and I did you held both of my hands and looked into my eyes and the pain did go away. Until this day I always squat down. Love You so much

Everytime I look at that beautiful face it tears me apart I will miss you huge Clara. We had alot of good times growing up. I Love You forever. My condolences to our families . Rest easy my friend ..

My Dearest Clara , I’m so shocked to hear about you leaving us so soon. The last time I seen you was at the Lions Club in Port Au Choix to a dart tournament. You were way down in the back of the club at the toe line soon as I walked into the club you turned and we seen each other and it was a crowd there to. You left the toe line and ran down across the club to greet me we danced around and was hugging each other. That’s the last time I seen that beautiful face of yours. When I seen this on fb it tore me apart, I can only imagine how the family feels cause I Loved you right to my heart and soul. Rest easy my beautiful friend. Condolences to the families. I didn’t even know you were sick..
