Oh my, I just heard from Brian that David passed away, I was in communication with him during his surgery, but just finding out he passed. David was such a wonderful person, a fifth cousin on 2 sides of the Matthews/Grant families to my husband Bill. (David joked about that fact). He finished the Matthews/Grant family tree for the family and he certainly heavily contributed to the Heritage New Perlican Facebook group. He did research work on many things and contributed items, photos, stories of his childhood spent here and memorabilia. He loved his family so much and always spoke of them and Jean, his lifelong partner. He will be so very sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. May you rest in peace my friend……….

So sorry for your loss, he was so kind and sweet on the few occasions we spoke.
I didn’t know him well, but it was easy to see he was a devoted and caring family man,. Deepest condolences to you Brian, your mother and sister, Kaida and Emma.
