Obituary
Denis passed away suddenly on Tuesday, May 21st, 2024, at the age of 73. He was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Theresa, and his brothers Kevin and Joe.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 38 years, Zena, his children Justin and Rosanna, and his beloved fur grandchild, Maggie. Denis also leaves behind his siblings Jim (Debbie, predeceased), Patricia (Keith), David, Wayne (Judy), Gerry (Nadine), and Carl, as well as sister-in-law Shirley, brother-in-law Garry (Bonnie), sister -in-law Heather and numerous nieces, nephews, and long-time close friends Tony (Joy), Bob (Bernice), Paul (Sarah), and his good friend Charlie.
Denis had a passion for card games, darts, fishing, and long leisurely drives.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the emergency department and ICU at the Health Science Centre for their care and compassion during this difficult time.
Denis’s cremation has already taken place, and a one-day gathering will be held at Carnell’s Funeral Home 329 Freshwater Road on Sunday, May 26th, 2024, from 2-5 pm.

Saddened to hear of Denis’s passing. Denis was a true friend too many. I also have great memories of playing hockey on ponds, softball, football, etc. when we were kids growing up in Outer Cove.
