Funeral Service for Dennis Lawlor
We, the family of the late Dennis Lawlor of Paradise, would like to announce his sudden passing on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at the age of 50.
Dennis is predeceased by his loving mom Olga; his brother and best friend Rodney; infant brother Barry; his cousins Robbie and Kelly Parsons; and his grandparents Lawlor and Parsons.
Dennis leaves to mourn with many precious memories his son and pride and joy, Dylan (his mother April Gladney) his devoted father Harold and loving niece Alyssa as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
From a young age Dennis had a passion for operating heavy equipment and the construction industry. His passion for equipment never changed and eventually he poured that passion into following in the footsteps of his family and making a career in construction.
Dennis always looked for a way to give back to the community. This came in the form of a project for Clayton’s Wharf from the popular Newfoundland song Saltwater Joys. Dennis heard about this project and because it coincided with his line of work he contacted the appropriate people. Dennis and his company Denco reconstructed Clayton’s Wharf at no cost to the community. Dennis fulfilled his dream of giving back to the community and he will always be remembered for his kind gestures.
Dennis loved being surrounded by his family and friends. You could find Dennis any evening sitting in his favourite chair by the table listening to an Irish tune or watching construction videos.
A lover of the outdoors, Dennis liked hunting and was always up for a good boil up and looked forward to his Sunday jiggs dinner with his brother Rodney. Family meant everything to Dennis.

The family will be accepting visitors at Carnell’s Funeral Home on 329 Freshwater Road on Friday, April 12 from 10am-1pm. The funeral service will be held from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Friday, April 12 at 2pm, with inurnment to follow in the Paradise Non Denominational Cemetery.
Please note that Carnell’s is a nut free facility, due to a staff member with a severe allergy. Thank you for your cooperation.

So, so sorry to hear this sad news of Dennis and his coworker’s passing. This news is heartbreaking and gut wrenching. Two men in the prime of their lives.
Dennis was so kind and always had a good laugh when we would meet. He was a gentle giant. From the time he was a little boy and would come across the road to see the boys, to when I last saw him, he was up always up for a chat and a few giggles. Gone way too soon.

I am struggling to find the right words to say here, Harold , Dylan & Alyssa I am so sorry for your loss. Dennis was one of a kind, heart of gold, always happy and smiling which can be quite challenging on a daily basis for some. His voice , oh my his voice , I would often ask him to sing me a song, it was like listening to something you would hear on the radio , it was absolutely beautiful. And his knowledge of dump trucks and tractors and all the bells and whistles for this kind of machinery, he loved what he did , and he done it with so much pride and joy. Dennis was a man of many talents, taken from us way way too soon. May u rest easy my man, fly high love you always xoxo❤️

He was a man with a huge heart! I remember times Dennis came for visits when we were young and he gave me a porcelain doll and my brother a model sport car and we still have them!
