Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Donna Jean Murphy (nee Somerton)
A Loving and Caring Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Nurse and Friend to all who knew her.
Predeceased by her Father and Mother William James and Ruby (Hibbs) Somerton
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of precious memories; her husband of 41 years ; Leonard, Daughter Melanie (Bill), Son Keith (Teresita); four dear grandchildren, whom she adored, Gideon, Ruby, Isaac, and Felix.
Donna will be greatly missed by her siblings Bruce (Linda) Somerton, Brendan (Christine) Somerton, Doreen (Ian) Tucker, and her niece Lisa (Jamie) Lane, In-laws Leona (Hal) Rice, Gwen (Wayne) Bishop, Bev (Dave) Druken, Donna Murphy (Mel Purchase), Leon (Maria) Murphy, Leroy (Deanna) Murphy, and many Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 2nd, 2022 from 7-9pm and Thursday, November 3rd, 2022 from 1-4pm, 6-9pm. A service will be held at the St. Lawrence Anglican Church, Portugal Cove on Friday November 4th, 2022 at 11:00am.
In Lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Autism Society of NL in Donna’s Name.

So sorry to hear of Donna sudden passing. We were coworkers at HSC for many years. She was a kind, caring and compassionate nurse . She adored her children and grandchildren. The beautiful memories of her will remain in your hearts forever.

I was so sorry to learn of Donna’s recent death. We worked together many years ago on 4 North B at the HSC. Melanie was just a little toddler and Keith was on the way. She simply adored her family. I will keep you in my prayers at this most difficult and sad time.
