Obituary
Dorothy Marie Tucker, aged 86 years, formerly from St. Philip’s passed peacefully away November 25th, 2021 at the Health Sciences Center in St John’s surrounded by family. Predeceased by parents Cyril and Mae Tucker, siblings Lillian Squires, Robert Tucker, Doug Tucker, Les Tucker, Levi Tucker, Jeff Tucker and Arthur Tucker. Dorothy will be dearly missed by brother Henry (Denise), sisters Florence, Selina and Winnifred and sister in laws Margaret, Madeline and Vera. She will be forever cherished and missed by sons Phillip, David (Rosalind), Wayne (Norine), Nelson and daughters Diane (Ted), Deborah, Annette, Irene (Christian), Brenda (Stan) and Patricia (Melvin). Will be dearly missed by grandchildren Crystal, Adrian, Kimberly, Kenny, David, Preston, Corey, Jessica, Philip, Gabriel and 14 great grandchildren.
Celebration of Dorothy’s life will take place at Carnell’s Funeral Home at 329 Freshwater Rd Saturday November 27th from 7-9 pm and Sunday November 28th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral service to take place on Monday November 29th at 11 am at Philip’s Anglican Church. Interment to follow in St. Philip’s Anglican Cemetery. I have to start by saying that I never heard Dot referred to as Dorothy and growing up with her family and friends when I heard her name it was usually “Dot and Emily”. If it was shower, a card game or just visiting it was always Dot and Emily … they were such good friends.
