Obituary
Edmund MacDonald Tucker (Mac) of St. Philip’s passed away peacefully at home with family on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at 89 years of age. Predeceased by loving wife, Joan; daughter, Joni; parents: Effie and Edmund MacDonald Tucker; sisters: Bernice (Bill) and Evelyn (William); and brothers: Horace, Victor (Agnes), Wallace (Lillian) and Alec (Mary).
Leaving to mourn are devoted daughters: Mandy, Darlene (Brian), and Donna; loyal sons: Gregory (Linda), Boyd (Marg) and Brian (Paul); sister, Fern (Max); sisters-in-law: Judy (Doug), Joyce (Graham) and Dora; brothers-in-law: Junior (Evelyn) and Jack (Emily); adoring grandchildren: Susan (Michael), Angela (Darrell), Adele (Chris), Gregory (Meghan), Joseph (Lakisha), Ashley (Calvin) and Heidi (Denver); and great-grandchildren: Dylan, Milan and Braelyn.
Mac also leaves behind his special lady friend, Shirley Squires, his beloved Yorkie, Ralphy, and many friends in Florida where he and Joan wintered during their retirement.
A special thanks to doctors, nurses, and care staff at the HSC (especially in Cardiology) and at St. Clare’s Hospital, Hillcrest Pharmacy and so many others including Dr. Hurley and Fatima (community health nurse) who gave him such great care.
God graced us with a man of integrity as the patriarch of our family for which we are forever blessed.
Mac, also affectionately known to those he loved as Punker, is resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, from 2-9 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1st.
Funeral will take place on Thursday November 2nd, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Philip’s Anglican Church, Coady’s Rd. Interment to follow in St. Philip’s Anglican Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations to your preferred charity in his memory.

I am so sorry to hear of Mac’s passing. I will always remember him as the best boss I ever had, I worked with him at EMT Electric. My sincere condolences to all of the family.

We were so very sorry to hear of the passing of your father. We actually dealt with him in his business (EMT Electric) many years ago and did many jobs together. We always found him to be fair and easy to work with. I’m sure he will be missed by all who knew him.

I was around 10 years old when Mac ( as we knew him ) wired our family home for electricity .I met him a few times after that before I grew into adulthood . He was always a true gentleman .
