Obituary
Passed peacefully away at the Miller Centre, Palliative Care Unit on February 17, 2022, Edna Louise Spurrell, aged 83 years.
Predeceased by her first husband Albert Miller; and infant daughter Marie.
Leaving to mourn her husband of 39 years Edgar Spurrell; sisters Fanny Tucker (Abner), Gillian Zendejas (Gilbert); Neil Tucker, who was like a son to her; Bonnie Oliver, who was always there for them; as well as nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Special thank you to the Palliative Care staff at the Miller Centre and Dr. Jillian Parsons.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held from St. Philip’s Anglican Church on Monday, February 21 at 11 a.m.
No flowers by request. Donations in her memory may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society.

Although we knew this day was imminent, we are still never fully prepared for it and it is with great sadness that we heard of “Aunt” Edna’s passing. However, she lives on in the hearts of many, many people and she is no further away than the next thought or the next smile or the next time you hear or see something that brings her to your mind. Love and blessings to you all.
My Mom(Emily) would often tell stories to me of her and Edna growing up…Condolences to all who loved her…RIP

Sorry very sorry to hear of Edna’s passing. Even though it’s been over twenty years since I left St.John’s, I’ll always remember her amazing Sunday dinners and her kindness and sense of humor. Thinking of you all. Love, Dawn
