Obituary

Passed peacefully away September 17th surrounded by family at St. Clares Mercy Hospital Elizabeth Violet Ivey (nee Hutchings). Predeceased by parents Norman and Irene (Hussey), brothers Norman and Kevin. Sisters Daphne, Joyce, Provie, Shirley and Glenys.

Leaving to mourn loving husband of 61 years Samuel, daughters Margie and Lori (Lucius), sons Scott (Shelly) and Richard (Ruth deceased). Grandchildren Brady, Jacob, Marcus, Hannah and Haley. Great grandchildren Lexi, Esmay and Avery. Sisters Bernice, Marilyn, Clarice and Gladys. Brothers Wayne, Max and Harold. 

Special thanks to the staff, nurses and Doctors on 4 West St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, especially Dr. Diaz for his compassion.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Monday, September 19 from 12-4 and 7-9pm.  Funeral service will be held from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, September 20 at 11am.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or SPCA.

So very sorry to hear ofViolet’s passing…She was a wonderful neighbor & good friend & confidante…..Hadn’t seen her since I moved closer to town a little over 1 year ago, have thought about her 7 wondered how she was doping. Please accept my sincerest condolences.
