Obituary
It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of our beloved husband, father, father in law, grandfather, brother, brother in law and uncle.
Predeceased by his parents William and Hilda Janes, brothers Allan, Brian and Colin. Also predeceased by parents in law Joseph and Eleanor Burke and brother in law Bruce.
Leaving to mourn, loving and devoted wife of 39 years, JoAnne and precious daughter (Daddy’s girl) Melanie (Jason Lake). His pride and joy, grandchildren Finley and Harlow, brother Derek (Heidi), sisters in law Beverly and Debby Janes. Also leaving to mourn, devoted sister in law Kathy (Sam Whitten), brothers in law Craig (Lynette) and Tony Burke, sister in law Lori Thorne (Larry). Family friends Marg Burke, Bev Ellis, Denise and Terry Hanlon, Mrs. Agnes Whitten and family, aunt Eva Kapalanski, as well as nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Special thanks to staff on 2 east at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home as well as Dr. Carrie and Dr. Sud at Health Sciences Centre. The family extends sincere thanks to Community Health Nurses in Torbay.
Cremation has taken place and visitation will be held for immediate family only at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Thursday May 4th from 2-4pm. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In my nursing school years when I would visit on Belfast Street for a homecooked meal, Errol could always be found enjoying football with Uncle Bill.
