Frances Warren R.N.

March 23, 1944 to February 26, 2021

Obituary

It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Frances Warren, age 76, on February 26th 2021.   Predeceased by her parents, Clarence and Hazel. Leaving to mourn her children Warren, Marc (Lynn), and Taryn; grandchildren Sarah, Taylor, Mackenzie, Sam and Jake; great granddaughter Stella; her siblings; and many dear friends.

Fran was a dedicated nurse for over 50 years, spending much of her career at the Waterford hospital and later and St. Pat’s Mercy Home.  After retiring, Fran enjoyed travelling and spending time with her family. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother – always available to her family for whom she had so much love. She shared a very close relationship with her daughter, Taryn.

Fran enjoyed her lovely home, made brighter by her neighbours with whom she enjoyed lasting friendships. Fran spoke highly of her friends – especially the General Girls, the Red Hat Society (the Raspberry Tarts), and her many bridge friends – and was very grateful for the kindness and happiness that they brought her.

Cremation has already taken place and a celebration of life will take place at a later date.

Any donations in memory of Fran may be made to the LAM Foundation www.thelamfoundation.org. To send a message of condolence, please visit www.carnells.com.

My sincere condolences to Fran’s family and friends. I have known Fran since her days in training when she and my sisters, Katharine Waye and Vivien Jones, were all at the General. I remember her as a very warm and caring person. Rest in peace, Fran.

Taryn and family. Our sincere condolences. To you and the family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I want to express to Fran’s children and other family members my deepest sympathy at her passing. Fran and I were neighbours in Southcott Hall during our student days. I didn’t get to know her well in those days as we were assigned to different groups. However, I did get to know her well over the years at Alumni dinners and class reunions. Despite her ill health, she was always positive and did not allow her illness to define who she was or how she lived her life. We will miss her whenever we have the next Alumni dinner. Rest In Peace Fran.
Jeanette Walsh, Class ‘65
