Obituary
It is with great sadness the family of Gary Eric William Harvey, announce his passing on Monday July 24, 2023, at the age of 77 years. He was a great husband, brother, father, grandfather and uncle.
Predeceased by his parents Eric and Claire Harvey. Leaving to mourn his wife Cynthia Harvey, daughters Nicole Harvey-Horwood (Tracy) and Jill Henderson (Duane), three grandchildren Alexandria Harvey (Mackenzie), Kyle Henderson (Jane) and Tory Anthony-Horwood, brother Rick Harvey (Judy) and many friends.
The family would like to thank Dr Pamela Pike, Dr. Colin Penney, Dr. Cheryl Hurley and all the support team at the dialysis unit and at palliative care.
Cremation has taken place.
Visitation will take place on Sunday July 30, 2023, from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Carnell’s Funeral Home 329 Freshwater Rd.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the kidney foundation or charity of one’s choice.

When we hung out in the East End in our teens, I always remember Gary and just a real decent human being.

Sorry to hear of Gary’s passing, please accept my sincere condolences. I always enjoyed Gary’s wit and unique sence of humor and I have a feeling that he did a lot of good for people along the way that nobody ever knew about. I always looked forward to seeing him at Belbin’s and appreciated the support that he gave us without hesitation or conditions.

Gary & I were good friends in high school. I enjoyed seeing him at our school Reunions and bumping into him on occasion where we engaged in good natured banter and bringing each other up to date on our respective lives. Gary was indeed a good guy and I extend my sincere sympathy to his family. Unfortunately I will be out of town during the day of visitation. Respectfully, Bob Noseworthy.

I was so very sorry to hear of Gary’s passing..
As a classmate of Gary I have fond memories of a very pleasant, happy and sincere “young man.” Next week our PWC class of 63 will be having our 60th reunion and will miss Gary’s presence..

I am so sorry to hear the passing of a wonderful man that I come to know over the years.. One of my first jobs I come to know Gary and his brother Rick.
