Cindy, Kayla, Tyler, and extended family
Very sorry to hear of George’s passing. I remember the early days of my career at Stratos when he’d love to give the young engineers the gears but at the same time actually teach us the ropes. Always had that sly grin and never quite knew what he was about to say. He was a ticket for sure, and we will all remember him fondly.
I’m very sorry for your loss and sincere condolences to you all. Rest easy George.

Take care .

To the DuPont Family,

Cindy, Kayla, and Tyler, so sorry to hear the tragic news of George’s passing. I first met him almost 20 years ago when this larger-than-life character joined me to help get a new Scout group going in Paradise. I was immediately stuck by his fun personality, intelligence, and perseverance. George was that guy who could make anything work and brought out the best in everyone around him. I was fortunate to see him at work again when he asked me to join him in starting up the minor hockey association. Under his strong leadership PMHA got the best start possible wining the Hockey NL association of the year award in our first year.
George gave so much of himself to his community and has left countless people feeling a great sense of loss. None as much as Cindy, Kayla, and Tyler who he loved dearly and spoke of often. We can all hang tight to the many wonderful memories as we mourn his passing.

Sending our deepest condolences to your family, take care.

So sad to hear of George’s sudden passing.. he was a friendly man who gave much to the community. No doubt he left much to be grateful for.

George was a man who thought of others first. I had the honour of serving on the Paradise Minor Hockey Association board with George for three years. He put the kids first and was always making sure that if a child wanted a game of hockey they were going to be on the ice no matter their circumstance. He had a smile and laugh that would light up the darkest of days. I was lucky to have known George. My deepest condolences to you all at this very difficult time.

The Dupont family came into my life when I began playing hockey, George was my coach for many years and I have so many happy and fun memories of being on his team. I started playing hockey a lot later then the rest of our teammates but George was always so encouraging and gave me the confidence to put myself out there. From that came a great friendship with his daughter Kayla. Who I hold dear to my heart as well as her fiancée Chris . The entire Dupont family always welcomed me with open arms and with the news of Georges passing my heart hurts knowing that all of these beautiful people are hurting tremendously. You are all never far from my mind. Sending you so much love now and always!
