Born Dec. 12, 1936, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Oct. 6th, 2021, age 84. Leaving to mourn is his loving wife of 62 years Joyce (nee Dawe); devoted children Cathy LeBlanc (Michael, deceased), Robert (Janice), Gerald, Nancy Gosse (Fred) and Sandra Hussey (Derrick); loving grandchildren Christopher LeBlanc (Kate), Amanda LeBlanc (JP), Sarah Gosse, Jessica Gosse, Kevin Gosse, Tyler Hussey, Sam Hussey, and Emily Hussey (Mark); also sister Elsie Chafe, sister-in-law Helen Dawe (Alfred, deceased), brothers-in-law Melville Day (Margaret, deceased), Rupert Dawe (Paula) and Walter Dawe (Janet); as well as a large circle of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his parents Kathleen and Archibald Chafe, four sisters and three brothers. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road. Visitation will be held on Sunday Oct. 10th from 2pm – 4pm and 7pm – 9pm and Monday Oct. 11th from 2pm – 4pm and 7pm – 9pm. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 12th, at 2pm from the Carnell Memorial Chapel with internment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road. The service will be live streamed for those who cannot attend. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or a charity of one’s choice.
