Geraldine Pennell passed away peacefully with her family by her side in Edmonton, Alberta on September 26, 2022 at the age of 75.
Geraldine lived a full life as a wonderful mother, homemaker, and helping hand in her family businesses starting with her father’s butcher shop. She loved to cook, sew for her grandchildren, and travel. Most of all she loved her family and instilled in her children strong values that have served them well. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
Geraldine is predeceased by her parents Robert and Ellen Puddicombe, brothers Robert (Jen) and Albert, grandson Alex and daughter-in-law Robin.
Left with a lifetime of love and memories are her children Chesley (Paulette), Albert (Michelle), Robert (Elaine), Jerry, Ellen (Chad Walsh) and her brother Jerry (Isabel). A loving grandmother, Geraldine will be missed by her ten grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Friday, October 7 from 2:00-4:00pm and 5:00-9:00pm.
Funeral service will be held from St. Teresa’s Parish on Saturday, October 8 at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Topsail Rd
In lieu of flowers, donations in Geraldine memory may be made to a charity of your choice.

My prayers and condolences to the family. I was very saddened to hear the news of Aunt Geraldine’s passing. I have so many fond memories of her, over the years throughout my childhood. May you now be at ease, pain-free & rest peacefully in paradise Aunt Geraldine.
I have just become aware of Geraldine’s passing. My prayers and sympathies ate extended to her family and friends. She was a special and one of a kind mother and grandmother who always loved and supported her family.
I knew Geraldine for many years and we shared many laughs and discussions. Hard to believe she is no longer with us.
