I was shocked to see Gwenda’s death in the paper.
Gwenda and I worked together for several years and shared many a road trip……..so lots of adventures/surprises/fun times.
Maerk’s arrival was a highlight for all of us in the office. My sincere condolences to Marek and family.

Rhonda and I are saddened to hear of Gwenda’s passing. I first met Gwenda when when we worked together at the school board office in CBS. She was a wonderful colleague and, happily, we became great friends during that time. Our condolences to Marek and other family and close friends.

Gwenda’s passing. Claudia and I were deeply saddened when we received the news. This is. a difficult time for your family and close friends. The fond memories of a loved on can assist at these times. Gwenda and I go back over the years within the circles of public education. I first met her when she worked with the Conception Bay South School District. ; and later we worked as colleagues when the new school districts were formed. She was a dedicated and respected professional in her field. Later years often found us enjoying a hand of duplicate bridge; it was always a pleasure to meet her at the club and exchange greetings . As Principal of The Newfoundland School for the Deaf, I worked very closely with Gwenda in her various roles in the Dept. of Education. She was very good to work with and had a relaxed and humorous side. I am very sorry to hear of her passing. She will be missed.

I’m so sorry to hear about Gwenda’s passing. I’ve been Gwenda’s hairstylist for the last couple of years. I shaved her head for her during the pandemic as she was grappling with cancer treatment, and she’s been seeing me since. Gwenda was such a joy to have in my chair. I didn’t know her for long, but I will surely miss her.

We were very grieved to learn of Gwenda’s passing. We became friends through the bridge community, a friendship that lasted throughout her years and one she shared with so many others there at her bridge Club. Her welcoming smile, warm vibrancy and great sense of humour were always a mainstay, every afternoon and night. We will certainly miss her.
