Maisie & Harrison’s Family

I met Harrison when I visited my husband (Bruce Power) at St. Pat’s as his smiling face would greet me every day when I stepped off the elevator. A wonderful man, so positive and caring. Maisie, what a devoted caretaker you were, always there to meet Harrison’s every need. God bless you. RIP dear Harrison.

So sorry for your loss, I have very fond memories of Harrison from meeting him when my dad (Michael Hickey)was at St. Pats. Harrison was always so friendly to us and greeted me daily with his beautiful smile and conversation. RIP

I have so many great memories of Mr. Best when I lived with them on Terra Nova Road. It was the first time I was away from home and both him and Mrs. Best treated me like their own daughter.. I remember not having a ride home one weekend and they both drove me home, about 1 1/2 hours each way. When they went for groceries, they always brought me home a special treat. I will never forget how much I enjoyed living with them and the good times we shared. So sorry I missed his funeral but I just saw this. Rest in peace Mr. Best.

Maisie
I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Harrison. I am Harold Ronaynes daughter who talked to you and Harrison everytime I would visit dad at st. Patrick’s home. Dads room was up a little and on the opposite side of Harrison’s room.
He stood out right away the first time I saw him he always dressed up with his dress pants shirt and tie. He loved to dance and the first night dad was there we went to a show with music and he was dancing the night away. Harrison was such a quiet and suffificated man. Dad always asked who that man was that was all dressed up. He would say he must be important to be dressed up like that. They always say the table together for lunch and supper.
Maisie you were always so good to Harrison and never missed a day with him and always looked after his every need.
I’m sure Harrison will be missed at St. Patrick’s home. He was a wonderful and caring man and you certainly are a wonderful and caring person to look after him all those years.

I have such fond and treasured memories of Uncle Harrison during the time he lived in Ontario. Spending time at his home and also the cottage by Lake Simcoe. We all had great fun, brough on by his big laugh, smile and joking ways. Saddened, as a child, when he and Aunt Lillian moved back to Newfoundland to look after his own father. However, when on trips east, we did continue to enjoy visits. And a good laugh. I am sad to hear of his passing and he will always hold a special place in my heart. Pauline (Best) Cunningham.

Melvine, we send our support and love to you and your family. May Harrison Rest In Peace.
