Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the passing of our dear mother at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on March 3rd, 2022, Helen Marie Hanlon, age 72 years.
Predeceased by her husband Hubert Hanlon; her parents Peter and Janet Reardon; brother Dave Reardon and Sister Marg Boone.
Mom will live on in the hearts of her five children: Robert Hanlon (Cindy), Judy Hanlon (Wade), Debbie Clarke (Dean), Beverley Hanlon (Tracy) and Dennis Hanlon (Lindsey); her grandchildren Amanda, Ashley (Adrian), Heather (Ryan) and Leo (Brandon), Bobby, Brandon; great grandchild Bennett, sisters Rose, Mildred (George), Linda (Ken), Judy and Joyce (Wayne), as well as nieces and nephews. Also leaving to mourn many dear friends, including Al Boone, Bill Sharpe (Beth), Hubert Oliver and Sharon Bradbury.
Visitation will take place at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road in St. John’s, Monday, March 7, 2022, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral to take place on Tuesday, March 8 at The Carnell Memorial Chapel at 11:00 a.m.
Mom was such a huge staple in our lives, and she will be dearly missed. We never thought that this day would come that our mom would pass away but let me tell you something she was the best mom, our best friend and grandmother. She was loved by everyone. She would give you anything or do anything for you and we loved her with all our hearts. She is up in heaven with our dad now. We all love you and we will all miss you.
Flowers gratefully accepted, or donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

My Aunt Helen was a wonderful and loving woman. She raised 5 wonderful children and partly raised some of us too.
