Obituary
Herbert (Bert) King passed away peacefully on October 4, 2023 at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital surrounded by family.
Leaving to mourn his wife Sandra; children Stephen (David McDonald), Jason (Krista Whitty), and Erin (Jim Payne); grandchildren Hunter, Kage, Nolan and Lynnsey; and sister Marie. Predeceased by his parents William and Flora King, brothers Clarence, Stanley, Baxter and John, sisters Phyllis, Vera, Irene, Gertrude, and Ethel.
Cremation has taken place. No viewing or service at Bert’s request. Donations in Bert’s memory may be made to St. Patrick’s Mercy Home.
A special thank you to the staff of St. Patrick’s Mercy Home 3 South for the care and kindness they showed Bert during his 4 months there.

To Sandra, Steve, Jason & Erin;
Saddened to hear of Bert’s passing.. Whenever I think of Bert I’ll think of his kind and generous heart especially with always giving freely of his time to help with renovations around the house, good advice on home inspections prior to purchase. So much more I could say but a lot of significant things escape me at the moment. However a great husband, father, grandfather and family man and devoted carpenter to many clients and employers over the years come to mind!! Rest in Peace Bert it was truly a pleasure to know you for 20 plus years.
Sandra and family: So sorry to hear of Bert’s passing; he was a wonderful person. Just remember, all your memories will help ease your pain. All the little things, the small everyday occurrences that you will remember…..the laughs, the smiles, the stories;. It is those memories that will push the pain aside eventually and bring back your smile. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you all. Take care.
