Passed peacefully away at his home on October 30, 2022, Hewitt Boyd Saunders, age 83 years.
Predeceased by wife Glendene; parents Roy and Olive; sister Doreen; and brother Frank.
Leaving to mourn sons Glen (Janice), Craig (Paula); cherished grandchildren Kyle, Ayden and Ocean; siblings Dave (Levina), and Doreen (Brian); as well as nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Thursday, November 3 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will take place at the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Friday, November 4 at 11 a.m., with interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Blackmarsh Road.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the H. Bliss Cancer Clinic.

Ah, I didn’t have many teachers that I liked but Mr. Saunders was an exception. Great teacher and a friend. Always had time for me and I still cherish that. Thanks Mr. Saunders. My deepest condolences to his family.
