Marg,, daughter Anne-Marie, brother Johnny and other members of the Halfyard family:
Clayton and I are so sorry and saddened to hear of my cousin Jim’s passing. Jim would frequently visit my family in Adam’s Cove during his single days and most special were the visits he made after returning from his work trips in Ontario…. He brought back so many stories and news from visiting his Aunt Ella and her family.
In later years, Clayton and I attended Jim’s and Marg’s wedding…a memory we fondly remember.
Jim was a regular visitor to our Home Hardware Store over the years and at those times we had many a chat catching up on family news. Jim was so knowledgeable on any topic. He will be missed.
Our sincere sympathy and thoughts to Marg and all Jim’s family during this difficult time.
Cherish your memories.
Julie and Clayton

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. May your memories give you strength and courage. Reast on peace Jimmy.

Marge and family, with heartfelt sympathy in the loss of someone so very special.. I will treasure the memories of playing with Jim on the rocky shore of Ochre Pit Cove and Jim’s many visits to my home to trade comics with my brother.. Blessings.

Dear Marg and family, my heart goes out to you all. Jim had so many wonderful stories to share with me and dad when we traveled to NL in 2018. I pray God gives you the strength and guidance to help you during this very difficult time. Please take care of yourself and know that I’m keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Sending you lots of love from Cape Breton xo

Marg, and family, We were so very sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. I remember so well the nights my mother would say “ Don’t turn the light over the door off yet. Jim might stop in on his way home from up the shore.” As a young man he travelled all over Canada,, for work and to see the other provinces. Then he met you, the love of his life, and he had no desire to leave Newfoundland again. Bob and Jim enjoyed fishing trips together. And I enjoyed our long chats and hearing great stories. . You will miss him but he is now reunited with Matthew so there’s consolation in knowing that.. I will keep you in my prayers.

Love, Marilyn & Bob
