Jason Robert Cornick

April 12, 1973 to July 15, 2022

Obituary

It is with immense sadness that the family of Jason Cornick announce his passing on July 15th, 2022 at the age of 49. He is predeceased by his father Robert, grandparents Jack and Glenis Lidstone, father-in-law Frank Hussey, and “Aunt” Gloria Learning. Leaving to mourn are his wife Connie Cornick, his daughter Emma, his mother Gail Lidstone, his sister Shelley (Paul), niece Allia and nephew Devin, mother-in-law Maple Hussey, the Learning family (Ed, Peter, Wanda, and Maria), and a very large circle of in-laws, other relatives, and friends.

Jason was passionate about everything he did. He fiercely loved his family and would do anything for his friends. His favourite place was fixing things in the garage, and everyone knew they could always find him there for a chat. He had a love for poetry, painting, and music, but most of all loved motorcycles. And he always picked out the best movies (according to his daughter). He is dearly loved and will be deeply missed. Our hearts are broken.

Special thanks to Adrienne Hierlihy and all staff on 4 North A/B & ICU of the HSC. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at home and a celebration of his life is being arranged for a later date. In lieu of flowers donation details will be posted on Facebook or please contact family members.

Condolences to all the family and friends. May you RIP and ride with the angel,s.

Met Jason in Ventures back in 1984. He knew the make and model of every car on the road at 12 years of age. We got along from the get go and Jason was the number one person on my call list when I needed anything. He was always available at a moments notice. Things that I struggle with he accomplished with ease. Thanks for being my friend for almost 40 years. The world is a lesser place today.

My condolences to Connie and Emma and all Jason’s family. Gone way to soon to young. Rip bud

He worked on two of my bikes last summer and didn`t want to accept payment. I had to leave the money on the bench. A good man and will be missed.

I am so terribly sorry for your loss. I was deeply saddened and shocked to hear of Jason’s passing today. He was a lovely man, always was. He was one of the first people to show me kindness when I went to junior high.

It was such a pleasure to have met him last summer after so many years of my living away. He seemed in such a good spot and it’s his family and life. It is such a heavy thought of all those he has touched and who will miss him.

My most sincere condolences to all he left behind. Some guys just have to ride on ahead.

We were best buddies all through school,
Right from the start we hit it off, he lived around the corner growing up gr9m me.
Dude was a legend, I remember him drawing constantly in school.
Either a car or bike… or some character to make me laugh so hard I’d be banished from class..
I’m devastated.

So sorry to hear of Jason’s passing. Sincere condolences to All Jason’s family

I have a bunch of fond memories with him and his friendship and kindness will never be forgotten. We’re sure gonna miss you brother… until we met again, ride that eternal blacktop and rest in peace my friend.

So sad to hear about Jason’s passing. He was my cousin and although we weren’t very close, I am thankful he took the time to reach out to me one day through social media, we had a great conversation about the history of our family and relatives. He was so knowledgeable, he knew more about our family legacy than anyone else… My deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. Cherish the times you spent together.

Most Sincere Condolences.
