Passed peacefully away at Pleasant View Towers on Friday, July 28th, 2023, surrounded by her loving family, Jean Reid (nee Penney), age 96 years.
Predeceased by her husband George; her parents Samuel and Irene Penney (nee Critch); her mother and father-in-law Arthur and Hilda Reid; sisters, Dora Emily (infant), Alfreda Linegar, Edith Reid; brothers, Eric Penney, George Penney, Herb Penney; sister-in-law, Annie Penney; brothers-in-law, Leonard Reid, Donald Willey, Robert Reid, Arthur Reid; son-in-law, Robert Noseworthy; sister-in-Laws, Mona Martin (Jack), Estella Constantine (Harry), Gertrude Ebsary (Fred), Jessie Hart (William), Edith Hobbs; grandson-in-law, Andy Whiteway.
Leaving to mourn daughter, Ethel Noseworthy (Robert – deceased); sons, Harold Reid (Lavinia), and George Reid (Geraldine); grandchildren Jason Noseworthy (Chantal), Mark Noseworthy (Jocelyn), Perry Reid, Adam Noseworthy (Launa), George Reid Jr. “GJ” (Tracy), Alison Whiteway (Andy – deceased), and Valerie Barnes (Brad), sisters, Ruth Reid (Arthur – deceased), and Phyllis Willey (Donald – deceased); sister-in-law, Sadie Reid; special niece, Dora Benson; great grandchildren, Zachary Reid, Sierra Reid, Tasia Reid, Emily Barnes, Felix Whiteway, Cailey Noseworthy, Finley Noseworthy, and Penny Barnes; also many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Special thanks to Pleasant View Tower Long Term Care – 2 South West, Dr. Essaji, Mary Beresford, Kim Attwood and all the staff for providing exceptional care and comfort.
Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Monday July 31st and from 10 – noon on Tuesday, August 1st.
Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, August 1st, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. from the Carnell Memorial Chapel. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Rd.
Flowers accepted or donations in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Society.
