It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Jennifer; daughter, mother, sister, and friend, on Thursday December 14th, 2023.
Predeceased by her Grandfather, Harold “Pops” Hannon; and grandmother; Minnie Wilcox.
Left to mourn her loss are her Daughter, Ella Gosse; Parents, Vianne Hannon and Keith Hannon (Angela); Sister, Amanda Hannon (Gerry); Grandmother, Marjorie “Mops” Hannon; Step-sisters, Emma Hill and Sarah Boland (Adam); Uncle, Barry Hannon (Jen Murphy); Aunt, Marilynn Wilcox; Cousins, Paige, Brooke and April; as well as a large number of extended family and close friends.
Jennifer had a lifelong love of music. She was a talented pianist that would light up the room every time she played. Jennifer’s legacy will carry on in her daughter Ella, the light of her life. She cherished every moment they spent together; getting ready for special occasions, taking Ella on walks with her Auntie Amanda and doing whatever she could to make Ella feel special and loved. Jennifer’s impact will forever be felt by those who are lucky enough to have known her.
Visitation will take place at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Rd. from 2-4 p.m and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 19th, 2023. Funeral service to be held at the Carnell Memorial Chapel at 2 p.m. on Wednesday December 20th, 2023.
Flowers gratefully accepted, or donations made in Jennifer’s memory to Iris Kirby House.

I’m still devastated that you are gone. Unreal. I wish it wasn’t real. The waves of grief overtake me at times: I am so mad because you should be here. You had such a beautiful soul.

I met Jenn through work at the Waterford hospital.There was a time when she was doing a lot of shifts on my unit and we would spend the nights chatting away like two old biddys . The thing is I was the old biddy in my 50s and she was but a youngster , thus the reference to each other as mudder and youngster. I would have to clean the snow off her car in the mornings cause she didn’t have a brush and she would take pics of me doing it killing herself laughing when I would tell her if she posts any pics on FB my windshield cleaning days are over . Despite the age difference conversation flowed and we became great work friends .The hot topic in our conversations was Ella ,the love of her life and my FB messenger contains many pics of Ella as Jenn would love to send me pics of Ella’s hair or Ella’s new outfit or anything pertaining to Ella . She dearly loved her little girl and was so proud of her.
I am saddened to say that our relationship all but dissolved in recents years as life becomes hectic and we didn’t work much together .
As reiterated in the service today Jenn was a wonderful young woman who touched the lives of those paths she crossed . A mild mannered, dainty , precious young woman full of love and understanding. It seems as a child she had a dare devil streak in her …….the Jenn I knew however carried a hint of vulnerability and she oftentimes would seek validation for something as simple as whether or not she should buy a Canada Goose winter coat or should she get her eyebrows waxed . She chose to buy the coat btw and worked overtime to pay for it hehe
Anyhow Jenn you will clearly be missed by all who knew you May you rest easy
I worked with Jenn at the Waterford Hospital, and she was such a kind nurse and amazing coworker. I am so very sad to hear of her tragic and sudden passing. Condolences to her family and friends and to her daughter Ella whom I know she loved so much.
Keith, Angela and all of Jennifer’s family, my sincere condolences to each and every one of you on this terrible tragedy. No words can describe your feelings right now, and I do not want to even try to imagine . May your sweet girl now Rest In Peace.

Beautiful soul… Your final message the night before, was full of hope and aspirations. Thank you for letting me know I was an example of how there is light after darkness. You were so close. Your heart was so full for Ella and Alana, rest your soul knowing that I always seen the light no matter how it looked on the outside. The trauma and pain had a cloud over it, but still glimpses of light shining through. I will have guilt that I didn’t do enough to warn others, even though I cried out a trail of truth for you from my own life, as you are now doing.
The pain of watching you slip over 3 years, was how I found a power greater than myself in 2020. Thank you for that bittersweet gift. Your turn was suppose to be next, but God had another plan. Your life will be celebrated for other survivors and I’ll make sure of it. Rest, Baby Girl. I got you. Your angel wings are waiting.
