Jill Elizabeth Ellen Beaton died peacefully on January 15th, 2024 surrounded by family and loved ones after a brief illness. Predeceased by her father Richard. Leaving to mourn her mother Marilyn (née Avery), her sister Nancy (Chris Bowes), niece Billie, and her fiancé Lee Snook. Also leaving to mourn is her large extended family from Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Ontario and Australia.
The family will accept visitors at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Thursday, January 18th, 2024 from 2:00pm- 5:00pm & 7:00pm-9:00pm. A funeral service will be held at St. Mark’s Anglican Church on Friday January 19th, 2024 at 2:00pm followed by cremation. The inurnment will be held on Saturday January 20th, 2024 at 2:00pm at the Anglican Cemetery on Kenmount Road.
Donations in Jill’s memory can be made to the Stella’s Circle Foundation.

I met Jill while I was at MUN. She was always there to listen, even while she was dealing with her own things. So many coffee and movie times together. We grew more distant in the last few years but I thought of her often and reached out a few times. She was a great friend and I’m so sorry for the loss to your family.
