Obituary
Passed away at Saint Luke’s Nursing Home with her cousins Carol and Daphne by her side.
Predeceased by her parents Ida and James Whitehead and twin sisters.
Leaving to mourn many cousins in NL and in the USA, especially her special cousin James Codner (Linda), Drakcut, Mass.
Our heartfelt thanks to all the staff at Saint Luke’s Home, especially Cabot Sq. where she spent the last 9 1/2 years and the Angel room on Inglewood where she spent her last 2 ½ days.
As per Joan’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation.
A committal service will be held at a later date, at St. Nicholas Anglican Cemetery, Torbay.

My thoughts are with you Daphne and Carol. Joan was a very blessed woman to have cousins like you both. You have been the one constant in her last years and I am sure she very much appreciated your care and concern. May she rest in peace.
Daphne, Carol, Shelby and family, I hope Joan remembered how much she was loved and respected by all of us who knew her. She was so lucky to have her family by her side. I will always have so many happy memories of her at your house or Judy’s or every occasion with a smile on her face, she was always so happy and happy go lucky.
My wish is that she is reunited with her mom, dad and sisters in heaven and are all having a great time and catching up.
