Obituary

Passed peacefully away on 24 March 2024 at the Intensive Care Unit, HSC, surrounded by her loving family, JoAnna Maie Davis, aged 41 years following a lengthy illness. Predeceased by her mother, Mary Davis and her grandparents, William and Florence Norris.

Leaving to mourn, her beloved son, Lexus; aunts, Gail Ryan (Terry Sr.) and Dena Orr (David); cousins Terry Ryan, Jr., Stephen Orr (Jane Crosbie) and Christine Orr (Neal Manning); great- aunt Jean Meger (Larry) Edmonton, Alberta; father Ron Davis (Maggie); special friends Paul Davis, Pamela Thompson, Rebecca Holden, Kendra Loder and Patsy Peyton as well as her pet cat, Phoenix and many other relatives and friends.

JoAnna will be remembered for her love of life, her outgoing personality and free spirit. She was supportive and giving to her friends and family.  She met life’s challenges with strength and courage and will be greatly missed by us all.

We would like to thank all the staff of the Intensive Care Unit for their weeks of care, particularly the nursing staff for their countless hours of skilled and dedicated nursing care. We are grateful to the Intensivists and other specialty consultants for their expert knowledge and heroic efforts to save JoAnna’s life. All your efforts will be forever appreciated and remembered.

Visitation will be held on Thursday 28 March 2024 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road. Funeral Service will be held at the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Saturday 30 March 2024 at 11 AM. Inurnment to follow at the Kenmount Road Anglican Cemetery.

No flowers by request. Donations in JoAnna’s memory may be made to the SPCA or charity of one’s choice.
