John H. Walsh, aged 69 formally from Fermeuse, known best for his carpentry skills and distinguished sense of humour, passed peacefully away at home following a courageous and valiant battle with cancer on July 2nd, 2018. He is preceded by his father Vincent Walsh, brothers Patrick & Vincent Walsh and infant brother, sisters Monica Roche and Margarette Walsh and brothers-in-law Joseph Lee, Gerald Fleming, James Fleming and parents in law James & Mary Fleming.
Left to mourn his mother Jane Walsh, wife Sophia, sons David (Lina), Patrick, William, and daughter Christina. His brothers Dermot, Brendon (Mary Alice) and sisters Doreen (Rene), Madonna and Joan (Randy). Brothers-in-law Thomas Fleming (Louise), Kevin Fleming (Eileen), Julian Fleming, (Madonna), Patrick Fleming (Lucy), Michael Fleming (Melva) and Donald Roche. Sisters-in-law Lorraine Walsh, Margaret Fleming, Elaine Molloy (Tom), Clarice Payne (Wayne), Marie Anthony (Ray) and a large circle of nieces and nephews, family and friends.
Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Rd on Thursday, July 5th from 2-9 and Friday, July 6th from 2-9. The funeral mass will be held from St Pius X at 9:30 am on Saturday, July 7th. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, St John’s. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to The Gathering Place or one’s own choice.
