To: Jane and Family
Sending Condolences on the passing of your mother. I never did get to meet her, I always wanted to. I heard many kind words about her from my father.
Your mother was my father’s (Joshua Goobie) step sister. Your grandmothr, Medium (Robbins) Howse, Goobie married my grandfather, George Goobie from Queen’s Cove and was my step grandmother, but we always considered her to be our real grandmother.
If I had known earlier, I would have dropped by the funeral home to offer my condolences and meet some of the family..

We are deeply saddened to hear of Mrs.. Nicol’s passing. What a wonderful life she had and what a wonderful legacy of kindness and love she has left. She was a remarkable lady. Here chocolate chip cookies were the best! We shared a love of reading and she was always eager to share a good book with a friend., especially her much adored Maeve Binchy collection. She was so fortunate to have lived such a full and happy life to such a great age, and to have had the love, care and support of you all . She will be missed.
Thinking of you all at this difficult time and praying God’s peace will be with you.

Brenda

Sincere condolences to you and family

Jane & Family so sorry to hear of your Mother’s passing, she was such a kind & caring lady to all of us kids who walked through her door in Topsail Pond, we were never turned away…always welcomed.
RIP Mrs. Nicol

Jane and family – I’m so sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. Although it’s been more than forty years since I’ve seen her, I remember her kindness – and patience! – when we were teenagers, hanging around your house and boathouse in Topsail Pond. She was so welcoming and accommodating, even when a gang of 15-year-olds invaded her kitchen to make pizza.! Your mom always had a kind word for all of us, and I know she passed on that kindness to you. Please accept my sincere condolences.

A grand lady who raised a beautiful daughter . Love and hugs to all the family
