Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Judy Tucker announce her passing on April 29th, 2024, at the young age of 59 years, at the Health Sciences Centre surrounded by her loved ones after a courageous battle with ALS. Her kind gentle nature and warm loving personality will forever be remembered.
She is predeceased by grandparents Robert and Isabelle Squires, Cecil and Alvina Tucker, father John Tucker, uncles Robert Squires, Les Squires, and David Squires.
Left to mourn her mother Edna Tucker; children Curtis Hartery (Melissa Barnes), Jennifer Hartery (Adam Hall); sister Denise Tucker; brother John Tucker; grandchildren Ella Hartery, and Madison Hall; nieces Marissa Evans, and Janessa Poullett-Tucker; nephew Brandon Poullett-Tucker; special aunt and uncle Winnie and John Piercey.
Beloved aunts and uncles Margaret Tucker, Linda Tucker (Greg), Bronze Squires, Phil Squires (Barb), Dick Squires (Sandra), Ronnie Squires (Bev); as well as many cousins and dear friends.
Judy’s love and infectious smile touched so many people. Her easy going nature brought the people together and her positive energy made for great times and cherished memories. Judy’s struggle with Multiple Sclerosis and later ALS never held her from doing anything she wanted. She spent many years working at Sobeys being a big part in the community and helping those around her. She later kept busy with social clubs and pet sitting for friends. Her love for people, nature and animals was unmatched and her respect for everything heavenly created has earned her a special place in heaven.
She will be greatly missed and always remembered as the beautiful woman she was.
We would like to give a special thanks to Cheryl with the ALS Society, and the nurses on 4 South A of the Health Science Centre.
Cremation has taken place.
Visitation will take place at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Friday May 3rd, from 10-9 p.m.
Funeral service to be held on Saturday, May 4th, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Philip’s Anglican Church. Interment to follow in St. Philip’s Anglican Church Cemetery.
Donations in her memory, may be made to the ALS Society.

To all the family, deepest sympathy. I did not know Judy, but knew many of her family. Sandra is my cousin, Dave was Vic’s best friend, especially during his last year of life, I officiated at Les’s funerl and, of course we see Winnie and John every Sunday in church. I grew up and went to school with Margaret and John. Edna, God bless you and Judy’s children. From what I am reading Judy was a courageous woman, who fought those terrible conditions, one is challenging enough, but two is incomprehensible.
