It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Kelly Parsons age 55 years.
Kelly is predeceased by his granddaughter Hollie, father Andrew and brother-in-law Earl LeShane.
Leaving to mourn: son Ryan, daughter Ashley Howell (Jeremy) and grandson Joshua, mother Joan Parsons, sisters: Yvonne LeShane, Rosalind Abbott (Glenn), Wanda Riche (Blair), Angela Parsons, Kimberley Pike (Jeff), nephews: Justin LeShane, Terry Riche, Curtis Abbott, Andrew Pike; nieces: Renée LeShane, Nancy Saraiva-Caleiro, Claire Abbott, Bonnie Pike, special friend Kemberley Chaulk, and many uncles, aunts, and cousins.
He was a successful business man, and enjoyed working with heavy equipment and had dreams of teaching his grandchildren the trade. He also spent several summers working out west on the railroad and made many friends there. Kelly loved life, visiting people and spending time with his canine companion Max. Having been surrounded by sisters he showed his love by teasing them and making his presence known.
Kelly experienced many sick days as he fought an intense battle with cancer, but his faith and trust in God helped him through the last weary days. He found a peace that was deep.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the nurses and doctors at the Health Sciences Centre and especially the Palliative Care Unit for their exceptional care and compassion provided to Kelly and his family.
Following Kelly’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held from the Carnell Memorial Chapel, 329 Freshwater Road, on Tuesday, December 15 at 2 p.m. with interment to follow at the Non-Denominational Cemetery, Paradise. The funeral service will be livestreamed for those unable to attend.
At the family’s request donations may be made to The Ronald McDonald House in memory of Hollie Parsons.
A beloved son, father, brother and friend. He will be missed by all.

Myself and dad have many fond memories of Kelly,. When we lived next door, watching him grow up and become a great perrson and dad. I do remember the teasing he did on all his sisters! He will be missed.

I don’t remember a time in my life that Kelly wasn’t a part of it. He became a part of our family when I was a young child. He was an incredible big brother to myself and Donnalee. He was always so generous to us. That never changed as years later he shared gifts with my children Laurie and Grace.
He was a comfort to us during our last days with Mom, making visits to the house to see her and be with us.
We had many good times, and sad times too. I am truly heartbroken for the loss that this brings.
I take comfort that he is finally at peace with Hollie.
