Obituary

Passed peacefully away surrounded by his wife and children. Predeceased by his loving parents Laurence and Evelyn Hurley, brother Ed, brother-in-law Clyde, and nieces Melissa and Lisa.
Lawrence’s greatest joy was his family, he enjoyed being surrounded by his wife, children, grandchildren, great grand-daughter and his fur babies.
Left to celebrate his life with fond and loving memories is his wife of 49 years, Judy; daughter Paula (Sam); sons Lawrence (Ashley) and Christopher (Samantha); grandchildren Isobella, Lawrence, Katelyn, Zachary, Jessica, Tanaiya, Sarah and Benjamin; great-granddaughter Matilda; brothers Martin and Pat (Mary); sisters Helen (Rendell), Jean (Ben), Alice (Ron), Joan, Joyce, sister-in-law Rosalind (Ernest); special friends Eric (Margaret) and Bill (Marilyn). As well as a large circle of family and friends, including cousins; nieces; nephews; brother’s and sister’s-in-law.
Cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends may visit the family at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm on Sunday, August 15, 2021. A memorial service will take place at St. Philip’s Anglican Church on Monday, August 16th at 2 pm.

I only knew Mr. Hurley through his great ability to make so many of us happy with our new pets. I met him several times before we took our puppy ‘GRACIE’
home with us and that was 7 years ago last week and she is as young and playful as ever.
He was a soft spoken man with a big heart and an abundance of patience.
Cherish the wonderful memories he left his family and friends.
