Passed away suddenly, but peacefully, on August 15, 2022 at the age of 86 years. Left to mourn two sons Blair (Margot Gallant) and Russell (Joan Kean), and two daughters Laura (Paul Antle) and Gillian (Paul Sulley); grandchildren Hannah, Colin, Lauren, Katie, Benjamin and James. Predeceased by her husband John, father and mother James and Lucy Hickey, sisters Theresa Foley and Madeline Quigley. Leaving with kind memories, dearly treasured sister-in-law Mary Chafe (St. Lawrence), as well as several nieces and nephews. Never to be forgotten Mary Dower, a lifetime friend since childhood. Always appreciated and never forgotten her coffee buddies at McDonalds on Torbay Road – Enid and Cyril O’Brien, Jeanie Dodd, Maurice Galgay and Jean Hickey.
Special thank-you to Angela, and all those from Angel of Hope, who cared for our mother so well over the last few years.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

I am so sorry for your loss. Growing up on Fredericton Place we all had our own families but their was a sense of an extended family there. Your mom was like a mother to all of us. She was such a wonderful lady. Thinking of all of you.

You were always her number one priority. We looked forward to meeting with her for a cup of coffee, a chat, and solving the world’s problems. I am sure John is waiting for her with open arms. So sorry for the loss of your beautiful mother. She was an exceptionally kind and loved woman, and a dear friend to our mother. I’ll always remember late afternoon Christmas Day visits to Fredericton Place every year of our childhood. I hope time eases some of the sadness of losing both her and your father this year.
