Upon hearing of Sharon’s passing I remembered 2 Timothy 4: 7-8. ~~~ I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith; Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. Sharon is finally home with the Lord.

Whenever I hear the names Sharon and Kevin I think of the 2 of you walking up Thornhill Rd. to Vater’s High School and ALWAYS hand in hand,, so young and so deeply in love. As Paul said, “LOVE NEVER FAILS.” Praying that God will give you the strength you need during this time of mourning. She’ll be waiting on the other side to hold your hand and welcome you home!

Kevin: I am saddened–yet not without great hope–and so very sorry, to hear of the passing of your deeply loved wife Sharon. Kevin, I remember, not so long ago, our wonderful extended this is with Sharon and you as I was visiting St John’s and so gladly took the time to visit Sharon and you. We laugh together, I cried a little, we prayed together deeply and experienced much of the goodness of God. I stand with you as a friend, in love and in prayer for you at this time. Eternity. Eternity. Look forward to seeing you, when I get to St John’s the next time. –Pastor & Missionary-Pastor Don Young

Our deepest sympathy Kevin on the passing of Sharon. We met Sharon when she moved into the room with our mom, Theresa almost seven years ago. She was a kind soul with a soft voice. May God give you strength to deal with your loss. May your memories of your life together bring you peace.

Sending condolences to Kevin and all family members Sharon taught my two daughters music lessons years ago. But I still remember her and so do my 2 daughters My thoughts and Prayers are with you.

Kevin and family:
Our sincere condolences on the passing of Sharon. She has now changed address and is in the presence of the Lord whom she faithfully served for many years. Be assured of our thoughts and prayers. May you find God’s comfort and peace to surround you during this difficult time.
We have many fond memories of you both during our ministry at Elim. We really appreciated both yours and Sharon’s dedication and faithfulness with the music. Also her teaching music to our children.
Cherish your memories and look forward to “That Glad Reunion Day”.

Kevin, Jamie and Tony. No doubt it is certainly a difficult time for you with the loss of your wife/mother. Be confident knowing that she is in a much better place now.

Many years ago I started piano lessons with Sharon as my very first piano/music teacher. I’m not sure how good of a student I was practicing my scales – I wanted to be able to instantly play like Kevin – but I quickly realized there was a process involved and I needed her to get me there!

Well, I still can’t play like Kevin!!, but I can say that I learned a lot through those years and appreciate her time and patience!

Take care in the coming days and weeks. Please accept our heartfelt condolences during this difficult time.

My dad was at St Luke’s and we would sometimes come upstairs to listen to you play for your wife. You both were so kind to us and even asked if we had requests which dad sometimes did. She was a lovely and kind woman…and you were her rock. May she rest in peace now and may you take care of your self in the days ahead….

Kevin, Jamie, Tony and family

Gloria and I are so saddened for you as you deal with Sharon’s passing. She will never be forgotten. A wonderful wife, loving mother and grandmother, and a special friend of ours.

Sharon was gifted with music and taught many how to play. She was a seamstress and could make or repair anything.

We moved to St. John’s in 1982, and there met Sharon and Kevin and the boys in Elim Tabernacle. Kevin played the piano and Sharon was in the orchestra. In 1983-1986 we served on staff there and earned our friendship with them. In the summer of 1986 to the summer of 1987 we lived on Cumberland Crescent., on the same street as our good friends. It was very common for us to visit them as well as they came to our place for Kevin’s tea and toast. I remember the huge snow storm when Kevin wanted his tea and toast, but the snowdrifts were very high. I dug a tunnel from our door to the curb so they could come in. We will continue our connections by phone and when possible in person.

I know you are grieving and the journey is hard. But remember, she was ready to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. She isn’t suffering any more..

When Jesus returns, as believers we will be reunited. Don’t forget that Blessed Hope is your Promise.

Gloria and Fred Stacey
