It is with broken hearts the family of Margaret Elizabeth Sullivan announce her peaceful passing at Pleasant View Towers on October 12, 2021. After a courageous battle with cancer and related stroke; Margaret, age 76, spent her last months at Pleasant View Towers surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her parents Edward and Margaret Dunne (nee Kavanagh), sister Phyllis and brother Edward. Leaving to mourn her husband of 53 years, Carl Sullivan. Beloved children Derek (Donna), Dean (Beverly), Robyn (Lenny) and adored grandchildren Jordan, Parker, Casey and Leonard. Brothers Gerald, Hubert, Kevin (Patricia), Robin and sister Maureen, along with a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Margaret loved to laugh and have fun. She loved music and to have a dance. Like most mothers, Margaret wore many hats over the years as a working mother, a stay-at-home mother, an early childhood caregiver, a leader with an army cadet corps…wherever she found herself, she made friends and enjoyed helping others. She had many life accomplishments, but her proudest was her children and their families.

A special thank you to the staff of Pleasant View Towers – 4NW for their care and kindness.

Cremation has taken place and visitation will be at Carnell’s Funeral Home on Saturday, October 16 from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, October 17 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  Funeral service will be held from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Monday, October 18 at 10 a.m. with interment to follow in Kenmount Road Anglican Cemetery.  The funeral service will be livestreamed for those unable to attend with the link available above.

I never got a chance to say thank you to her or yourself for all the times that you guys helped me as a young kid, who joined the Army Cadet and growing up without a dad looking for direction in life. She was a great Lady and you sir, a great man. My condolences to you and your family on your loss.

your calls from Newfoundland to update me on family while always asking about mine(melanie, daniel) in recent years wanting all the news about

Very sad to hear of Marg’s passing. She was a strong lady who persevered through a lot of health issues, with multiple diagnoses that seemed to miss the bigger picture, until her recent stroke related to cancer. Despite the battle she waged for some time, she always had a smile on her face and greeted family members lovingly. My last memory of her is giving me a big hug and kiss at a service for another family member., Ted Crocker. My deepest condolences to her husband Carl, children Derek, Dean and Robyn and their families, as well as Marg’s siblings and other relatives and friends. I hope she’s in a better place with no pain or sorrow, only joy and contentment.

Derek and family, so very sorry to hear of the passing of your Mom. My sincere condolences to you all. God Bless & take care.
