Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Margaret Louise Atkins (nee Melendy) on March 24th, 2024 at the age of 77 years.

Marg was a kind, caring, and beautiful person.  A lady of few words who was loved by everyone.

Predeceased by her parents, Charles and Edith Melendy and brother Chesley Melendy.

Leaving to mourn with loving memories; her husband of 18 years Ches Atkins; daughters, Eva (Keith), Dawn (Tony); grandchildren, Ryan, Stephanie (Mario), Chase, and A.J.; great-grandchildren, Mario, and Eva; siblings, Art (Bernice), Blanche (Rick dec.), Carson (Janice), Wanda (Gar), Lorne (Sandra), Lynn (Bren), and Craig (Trudy); sister-in-law, Beulah Melendy;  and many nieces and nephews as well as a number of friends.

Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Wednesday, March 27th from 2 -4 PM and 7 -9 PM. Flowers graciously accepted or a donation in Marg’s name can be made to the Salvation Army Temple Band (Torbay Road).

Funeral service to be held at the Salvation Army Temple, Torbay Road, on Thursday, March 28th at 10:30 AM.
