Obituary

Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family, on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at the Health Sciences Centre.

Predeceased by husband James; son Matthew; mother Catherine; father Thomas; sister Madeline; brother Brendan.

Leaving to mourn her loving daughter Anne Marie (Tom); grandchildren Nettoya (Percy), Keith and Stephane (Nicole); greatgrandchildren Alicia, Peyton, SJ, Noah, Landen and Nathan; siblings Paddy (Joan), Leo, Peter (Barb), Patricia (Bob), Rose (Kevin), Marie (Terry), Cathy (Wade); sister in law Barb.

Special thanks to her best friend and sister Rose, for always being there anytime day or night to help her. Elaine and Maureen, her sweet friends; all her nieces and nephews and their children; nurses and doctors of the 5th floor at the Health Sciences; to her home care workers at TLC, thank you for your patience and understanding. Extra special thank you to the dialysis unit at Mt. Pearl Square. She loved  you all so much, as I know you loved her.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation from Noel’s Funeral Home, Westen Bay, on Sunday, November 19 from 2-4 and 7-9, and Monday, November 20 from 12 noon – 1 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Corpus Christi Parish, Northern Bay at 1:30 p.m. A celebration of life to follow, will be announced.

In lieu of flowers, please donate in Margaret’s memory to the Kidney Foundation, NL.

To all of Margaret’s siblings…….l am very sorry for your loss. Your mother, Catherine, was very kind to my mother when she was living alone in Northern Bay. Thank you 🙏

Aunt Marg, we are deeply saddened and heartbroken of your passing but I know that you are looking down on us and smiling. We love you so much and you will be dearly missed. We had so many great memories and fun times together throughout the years and we would always reminisce about the “good old days.” I will hold those special memories close to my heart and cherish them forever.
