Passed peacefully away at the Dr. L.A. Miller Centre at the age of 85. Predeceased by her beloved husband: Herbert, parents: Joseph and Annie Seromski, brother: Michael Seromski, and sisters: Sophia Murphy and Olga Stroud. Survived by sister: Catherine McLean. Also leaving to mourn brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews as well as a very large family of friends. Marie was known for her generous hospitality and kindness, but most of all, for her outstanding faith which she shared with everyone she met. Her close relationship with her Creator enabled her to maintain a positive outlook, even in the face of a terminal diagnosis. She was confident in the resurrection hope of being reunited on earth with her family and friends. As one medical professional said, it allowed her to face death with dignity and grace. Her hope will not lead to disappointment. (Romans 5:3-5)
We also wish to express gratitude to her family doctor, Dr. Shawn Metcalfe and Public Health nurse, Pam Hunt, along with the team of the Palliative Care program at the Miller Centre and her home care provider Tender Loving Care, for their genuine concern in caring for her. Cremation has taken place at her request. A memorial service will be held by her local congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses via Zoom on Saturday, January 8 at 2:00 p.m. Zoom Meeting ID: 868 392 2505. Passcode: 348 362

So sorry to hear. Sincere condolences to her family and friends.
I was saddened to learn that Marie has passed away. I remember her as a young Pioneer in St. John’s who endured faithfully in spite of challenges. My family and I attended the wedding of Marie and Herb in the Kingdom Hall on Morris Avenue.
We look forward to welcoming both Marie, and Herb back soon! My sincere condolences to her family and friends.
I was so sorry to hear of my dear Aunt Marie’s passing. She was indeed the most generous and hospitable of souls. I recall as a young girl visiting her on Empire Avenue….here door was always open to the friends and she never failed to plan a lovely supper and evening of encouragement for the pioneers after a month of auxiliary service . We have lovely memories of her and Herb and look forward to the day ,in the not too distant future when we can welcome them back to life on Jehovah’s restored paradise on earth . John 5:28. A sure promise from our Heavenly Father Jehovah ! Till then we can cherish our memories and , help others know of the wonderful future Jehovah promises to all, just as Marie did loyally throughout her life ..
Cathy Marie Wichinski and family
She was the sweetest, kindest sister who offered encouragement freely. She often gave me wise words through the years and I felt strengthened by it. I was so happy that I got to see her September past. She gave me a jar of her homemade jam (along with encouragement). We will see her again in paradise.
Marie was a gem to say the least. Always at the forefront to show hospitality and never wanting to be a burden, her generous spirit will be missed. She was a true companion and friend for our Mom and a strong defender of the truth. The blueberry patch will miss her! A true servant of Jehovah!
Marie was indeed a very generous person as well as a spiritual woman who loved Jehovah. She was a special friend of my mom Phyllis for many years. So sorry to hear of her passing.
