It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Maxwell Hussey, aged 75, of Paradise.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Always happiest when he was surrounded by a crowd and the life of the party, he was taken from us too soon.
Predeceased by his parents, Max and Margaret, his parents-in-law Michael and Sarah Brophy, his brother-in-law Jim, sister-in-law Janet, and half sister Beatrice.
Leaving to celebrate his life, his best friend and wife of 57 years (less a day), Linda; sons Mike (Joanne), Derrick (Sandra), and Todd (Lisa); daughter Tracy (Gary Quilty); grandchildren Kayla (Mark Curtis), Kristen (Michael Luther), Tyler, Sam (Kaylee Winkle), Emily (Mark Paquette), Noah O’Neill (Taylor Grandy), Kate, Heather (Richard Sceviour), Brittany Quilty, Andrew Howlett (Courtney Stevens), and Kelsey (Marc Flannigan); his newest pride and joys – his great-granddaughters – Emma, Grace, Lily, and Brynnley; his brothers and sisters Muriel, Jenny, Mary, Joyce, Edward, and Aubrey and their families; his brothers-in-law Ted, Mike, Brian, Ken, Gary, and David, and sister-in-law Jackie, and their families; special friends Fred and Carol Gosse; and an enormous circle of family and friends.
Max always said he had the best family. He was very proud of his three sons and his adoring and devoted daughter Tracy, and will be dearly missed by his buddy, Puss. He loved nothing more than having us all together – the louder the better. His seat at the head of the table will never be filled, he will be forever missed.
Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5th and from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Thursday April 6th. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, April 6 at 1:00 p.m. from the Carnell Memorial Chapel. The service will be livestreamed for those who cannot attend can view the service via the link at the top of the obituary on the Carnell Website.
