My heartfelt condolences to her family. I worked at MDJH as Secretary and spoke to Melva for years at MDE. We kept in touch and she talked a lot about her children and her latest grandchild, Hannah who she adored. Fly with the angels Melva. You will be missed.

Our heartfelt condolences to the family, I got the privilege of meeting Melva through my work at Capital Hyundai and each time she needed help with her vehicle I was happy to see her coming to get to help her out. She will be deeply missed by all of us here. Hold onto the memories, I certainly will.

To Melva’s family,
I am so sorry to read Melva’s obituary today. When I started at Booth Memorial your Mom noticed the new girl and took me under her wing. Melva was a strong, kindhearted, true friend to many. We have kept in touch over the years. She enjoyed talking about her family and so happy when Hannah arrived. May your Mom’s strength, love and peace be with you always.

Memories of our loved ones don’t fade, they become treasures that we hold forever.

Blessings to all the family

To Melvas Family,
I have many memories of working with your mom,
at Macdonald Drive Junior High School, where we were
both School Secretaries. She. thought the world of you all, and was always so pleasant to work with..
My Sincerest Condolences

So sorry to hear of Melva’s passing. I worked with her at MDE years ago. We had lots of chats but her favourite conversations were about you, her three children. She was fiercely proud of you all. Carry her with you in your hearts. That would make her so happy! May she rest in peace. God bless her.

What a beautiful soul, may she rest in peace
I am a parent from MDE who was lucky enough to volunteer at the school. I got to spend a-lot of time with Melva over the years. We shared many laughs, and a few tears.
To her children- your mom was one of the strongest people I’ve ever met. She could be a tough cookie when needed but a heart of gold Find strength from her to get through this loss. And May all your wonderful memories give you peace

Cailin , Andrew , and Allison

I worked with your mom at various schools when I was teaching and as an administrator . She was always so sweet , kind , and a barrel of fun. She did 5 jobs at once and told the best story while doing it . She helped everyone with such love.

We will miss you my friend – until we meet again –

Cailín, Andrew and Allison, Im so sorry for your incredible loss. Your Mom was amazing in so many ways! We used to bring her Tim’s coffee and a Boston cream donut at MDE and sometimes we’d visit her after she retired with the same treats! .She loved her coffee! When your Mom hugged you it was with her whole heart. Cassandra loved her fiercely and vice versa. The world was a better place with Melva in it. We will remember her and love her always. Sending love to you and your family ♥️

So sorry for your loss. Sending thoughts and prayers to all of the family.

Cailin, Andrew and Allison,
I am so sad to hear of your mom’s passing.
I worked with your mom at MDE. She was smart, witty, a great storyteller and a hard worker. If you needed something done, you’d ask Melva. She could do 5 different things at the same time and still laugh. She could have easily been premier!
I know how fiercely proud she was of you all. She did an amazing job of raising you and thankfully, a part of your mom will continue to be in this worked through you all and her sweet Hannah.
A woman of passion and integrity, no finer could be found.
Rest easy sweet Melva, your work is done.
Sincere condolences,
Yvonne Manning
