It is with profound sorrow that The Jackman Family announce the passing of Milton Robert Jackman on February 2, 2022 at the age of 87.

Predeceased by his parents, Peter Joseph Jackman and Mary Catherine Jackman (nee Fitzgerald); brother Leo, sisters Rosemary Ford (Eddy) and Lillian Mercer (Jim).

He leaves with precious loving memories his wife Margaret Matilda Jackman; daughter Joanne and son in law Craig Tatton; sister Doreen Smith (Albert Smith); brother David Jackman (Patricia); and many nieces and nephews.

Milton was born and raised on Bell Island, NL, May 3rd, 1934…He grew up to find himself on a journey that lead him working in the Mines of Wabana which was followed by him traveling to “The Big Land” of Labrador in 1961/62, where he started a life in Labrador City as a Welder with the mines of the Iron ore Company of Canada which spanned 34 plus years…His creative, adventurous and inventive spirit touched everyone he was privileged to meet over the years and he will be missed terribly by all family and friends…Especially all his “Cowboy Lake Buddies“…

Although we are here on this Earth without him, left to move on with tremendously heavy hearts, please know that “Life is not ended, only changed.” Milton will always be in our thoughts as we continue to do The Lords bidding and wait patiently for our time to be with him again in Paradise. Our Family would like to give very heartfelt thank you to ALL medical staff who helped dad during his long illness with Cancer and especially a very warm heartfelt thank you to the staff of the Miller Center, Palliative Care Unit who assisted with Milton’s peaceful transition to his next big amazing journey.
