Passed away on March 19, 2024, Nora Fitzpatrick of St. John’s, at the age of 71. Nora died peacefully after many years of profound illnesses.
Nora was predeceased by her mother, Doreen (Dunphy) and her father, Fred. She is survived by her brothers, John of St. John’s, Peter (Beulah) of Edmonton, and by her sister Sheila (Ron) of Glen Haven, NS. She also leaves her niece, Jennifer Fitzpatrick, of Edmonton, and her nephew, Robin Crocker, of Halifax.
Nora’s childhood and her happiest years were spent in Corner Brook, where she attended the local Catholic schools with her many friends. For her high school education, she attended the Convent of the Sacred Heart in Halifax. Nora was spirited, independent, and frequently challenged. Her family owes gratitude to the many heath care providers and social workers who helped her over the years. Nora herself would have wished that her brother, John, be especially thanked for his companionship, and his constant presence and support during her final battle with cancer.
Nora specifically asked that any ceremony to mark her passing to be kept private.
So very sorry to hear about Nora – we attended Sacred Heart together.
John so sorry to hear of Nora’s passing my prayers are with you and your family at this sad time. Would love to chat sometime with you.
To Sheila, John , Peter and all the family,

To the Fitzpatrick family ,our deepest
condolences on the passing of dear Nora.
We knew her from visiting your mom.. We had many dinners at the house which Nora delightfully helped to prepare.
May she rest in peace.
I was a friend of Noras when she live in corner Brook as a young girl. When her and her mother moved to St. John’s we connected a few times. But I believed she moved back to Corner Brook to do a talk show. At that time we lost contact. Sorry to hear she has passed.
