Nora Marsh

June 2, 1943 to September 28, 2023

Obituary

Nora Marsh passed peacefully away September 28, 2023 surrounded by love, laughter and family.

Predeceased by husband George and son Craig.  Leaving to mourn her children Francis (Karen), Michelle, Cynthia, and Bradley (Pam); loving grandchildren Dayleen (Juan), Trevor (Allison), Mitchell, and Andrew; brothers Walter (Agnes) and Gordon (Mary).  She had so many beautiful nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends whom she loved dearly.  And of course, we can’t forget her fur babies Woffy and Purest.

Nora was the sweetest, most lovable little thing.  Every person that met her had a soft spot because of how naturally unassuming and non-judgmental she was.

She always had a smile and a little giggle “come on in” with an offer of a cuppa tea or snack.  Her blue eyes would always crinkle when she smiled.  “Tut tut” when commenting on the weather; but took pure delight in her flowers.  Simple pleasures meant the most to her.

Mom was always more interested in hearing about how your family was doing or how you were doing rather than complain or talk about herself.  She never had a bad word to say about anyone.

As heartbroken as we all are to see her go, we’re comforted knowing that she is with Dad and Craig.

All of mom’s endearing qualities: sharing, kindness, humour, and funny little sayings are present in Frank, Michelle, Cynthia, and Bradley.  She will be closer to us than ever because of them.

Special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and support staff of 4 North B at the Health Sciences Centre.

Cremation has taken place.  Family will receive visitors at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Tuesday, October 3rd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

Donations in Nora’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
