Our mother was a lifeforce! She had an incredible presence and fashion sense, and a large circle of friends who she regularly kept in touch with. She was always on the go, from golfing, walking, playing bridge and her favorite thing in the whole world: Shopping or “twacking around” as she often called it.

Loving wife to her husband of 29 years Harold, proud mother of Craig, Barbie and Shannon. A hairdresser by trade, she started her first business at 17 and never looked back. She owned “Hair by Patricia” on Pearson St. and “Oh What a View” B&B on Signal Hill.

She was our mother, our hero, our best friend. We will miss her every day, but we will always carry her in our hearts. She taught us how to live, how to love and how to be happy. She was the best wife, mother, aunt and friend anyone could ask for.

Rest in peace. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.

Predeceased by parents Alice and Hilary Ryan, son Craig Tilley, sisters Barbara and Maureen (Jim Wiest) and brother Austin Ryan. Lovingly remembered by her husband of 29 years Harold Maye, daughter Barbie Tilley (Brendan), son Shannon Tilley (Jennifer) stepchildren Michele Ferguson (David) and Greg Maye (Michele), grand children Evan Strange, Ryan Tilley (Alex), Shaye Tilley, Eric and Abby Ferguson, Amanda Roberts and Ryan Maye, her sister Dorothy Ryan (Stevie), sister in law Sandra Ryan, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Water Rd. on Thursday August 3rd from 11am-5pm.

A funeral mass will be held at the Basilica of St. John the Baptist on Friday, August 4th at 1pm. Inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Thank you to all family and friends who showed your support during this difficult time. Especially the incredible staff of 4 South B, it was greatly appreciated. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the SPCA or a charity of your choice.
