Obituary

It is with profound sorrow that we confirm the passing of Patrick “John” Donald Fewer, who left us on August 12, 2023. Born on July 2, 1952, Patrick embraced life with a quick wit and larger-than-life personality that left lasting impressions on all who knew him.

Patrick had a difficult life that he lived on his own terms, filled with music and laughter in spite of the challenges he faced. A man of many talents, he will always be remembered for his record release, “Biggest Fool in Newfoundland,” which stands as a testament to his musical ability and his unique sense of humor.

Music was a fundamental part of Patrick’s life. He found great joy in playing guitar and making music, and these passions provided him with immeasurable solace and pleasure throughout his life. Also An adept player of the games Chess & Crib, Patrick delighted in the competition and camaraderie it provided.

Patrick was predeceased by his mother, Marie (Fewer) Chipman, and stepfather, Azariah Chipman. His memories will be cherished by his son Mark Chipman, his daughters Kelly Hollahan and Dale Ruby and a long list of siblings, family members and friends.

Through all life’s trials, Patrick maintained resilience , often found smiling and laughing. His quick Wit and wild vibrant spirit will long be remembered by all those who were fortunate enough to have known him. He was One of a kind and will truly be missed. May your soul rest in peace.

On behalf of Patrick, the family would like to thank the Dr.s that took great care of him, and all the Staff and friends he made in his final years at the Cherry Lane Manor. Words cannot express our sincere appreciation at this difficult time.

Cremation to take place, no wake or funeral to follow. As per Patrick’s Request his ashes to be spread at Topsail beach.
